Guy Wade ... what can we say ! Thanks to Guy our big day was even more perfect than we could have ever imagined , and he really did change our guests perception of what is a Toastmaster and what do they do.... the answer is everything !
Guy was recommended to us by a friend who had him at their wedding and all I can say is you won't be disappointed if you book Guy. He is courteous , professional, quirky and always the gent and his advice , patience , sense of humour and knowledge went above and beyond what we expected and we are so grateful for all of his help over the 1.5 years of planning.
No task is too big or too small for Guy and he really will help with whatever is needed if you just ask ... from introductions , church service advice and seating plans, setting up haybales, chauffeuring guests, announcing and serving drinks, putting out food and organising other suppliers to coordinating photographers , setting up the venue and generally ensuring everyone has a really really good time he's the man !
He was perfect for the fun feel of our day and so many guests have commented on the extra touch he brought to things. He kept us calm during one of the most stressful events we've ever had to plan and was always there to listen to yet another 'suggestion' or 'change' we wished to implement to ensure all ran smoothly on the day itself. He's a fantastic Toastmaster and we will certainly keep in touch with Guy as a friend - so so glad we decided to turn the 'do we need a Toastmaster doubts' into a booking with Guy as he was the best supplier of the day and really did take the stresses away from everyone so we could all enjoy it and have an amazing party ! (He was even kind enough to take a selfie or too with our hoard of drunken guests !) if we could give 10 stars we would. Book Guy and you won't be disappointed ! Thanks again for everything.
We decided we wanted an informal village hall wedding reception but unlike hotels and big wedding venues there is no one there coordinating the day or dealing with suppliers. We knew we needed someone there who could coordinate everything for us and so we started researching wedding coordinators and toastmasters……
We luckily found Guys web page which explained everything he did as part of his service & despite initially thinking a toastmaster was too formal and was just there to make announcements .. Guys page really opened to my eyes to how much more he does than a traditional toastmaster….
We chose Guy as he seemed to have a fun yet professional approach to his role… he was happy to get involved in anything we wanted him to do, from coordinating suppliers… setting up the room for the evenings, meeting and greeting guests to general ushering people around – this is exactly what we needed!! He was also a real friendly person and we felt he was very adaptable and wouldn’t come across too formal at our laid back reception. When we met Guy at the venue he had thought of things even I hadn’t thought of and we could tell there and then he was absolutely on the ball!
The time running up to the wedding he was always there to give us advice and even sent us an email one year prior to the wedding to say one year to go! The service was amazing from booking Guy right through to the wedding.
I can honestly say without him our wedding would have absolutely been a shambles!! He did so much… from seating people, greeting people, making sure the caterers and bands were all set up correctly.. changing the hall around, announcing speeches, turning music on and off.. announcing cutting of the cake.. photos… the list is endless! I didn’t worry once all day because I knew Guy had everything under control and considering we had in excess of 130 people everything ran like clockwork! Everyone said how lovely he was… him being there meant we could enjoy our wedding day and he was an absolute pleasure to have around as well. Guy was the best thing we booked for our wedding day…. And we cant thank him enough!!
Being the sort of person who struggles to organise myself let alone a function for 90 people, Guy’s services were a godsend. It was a relief to be able to relax and allow him to make sure everything ran as it was supposed to. As a toastmaster he was very funny and judged the mood well. He was professional and affable, and very much the classic British eccentric! From setting up at the beginning, to cleaning up at the end, to making sure the guests knew where to go, to taking care of the little touches like replacing candles or being on standby with a sewing kit, he really was brilliant. Thank you Guy! You really made our day!
Thank you for all your help and support on the day. We know we only met briefly but we couldn't have asked for a more caring and thoughtful toastmaster.
